latest beta issue - app simply quits or hangs during capture

hi,

just had a bad day with the latest beta both on Mac and Win 10 (the previous beta worked much better)

Win 10: during capturing app simply quits, when adjusting trigger, time, running capture or else

Mac (on Mac Book Pro Retina): app hangs during capturing, force quit helped only

no issues when checking saved captures neither on Mac, nor Win 10

v6 worked fine, no issues at all

happy to help the Dev team, if logs were not sent

Hello and thank you both for the feedback

Could I ask if this is the current version 7.0.73 here https://oem.picoauto.com/p7beta/download

In both cases we are going to need trace files and details of operation (This helps to replicate the symptom)

Could I ask both to email support@picotech.com and we can pick this up ASAP

Rest assured this will speed up the capture of any bugs and software updates

I will also share the outcome here too

Thank you both again for feeding back as PS7 is customer driven throughout

I was using 7.0.72 last week, I'll update both my instances and give it a go

where do I find the trace file both Mac, Win?

as I mentioned, nothing popped up after the apps quit

Hello and thank you for the feedback

We have 7.0.73 ready here https://oem.picoauto.com/p7beta/download as PicoScope is updated every 2 weeks

Could you retry this build with the settings you used that resulted in the App quitting without warning

Before reopening PS7 (After the App quit) could you locate the trace file as described here download/file.php?id=24811 for Windows

Please note the Trace file contains information about your PC and therefore you may prefer to send the Trace file to support@picotech.com

For Mac OS the trace file can be found using the information contained in the this link https://www.picotech.com/support/viewto ... 801#p48801 (This refers to PS6 but the same applies to PS7)

hi,

tested v7.0.73 both on Mac, Windows and didn't experience the quits and hanging now

keep it up :)
