HT-25

Hi I am new here and have a pico scope 2204A witch I have use on cars. Now I got a HT-25 secondary probe and when I measure the signals are negative. All pictures and video I have look at have all positive signal. How come?

Probably inverted in software?

Did try automotive software and it did come up as positive signal. With a standard probe on scope it is also negative. Electrical, shouldn't the coil spark go low?

Most ignition coils are negatively fired.

While I don’t recommend using a 2204A for Automotive use, a custom probe for your HT-25 with a gradient of -10000 should invert the waveform and scale properly.
