Relative compressions test

Post by ktl2019 »

Today i played with the relative compressions test
Removed the secound spark plug and done the test with this result.

Then i removed the fourth spark plug with the same result, also with removed spark plug from first cylinder.

Is it not possible to identify the right cylinder ?

In short no; how would the scope know that, on the bases of battery voltage monitoring only? How would you do it / design it?

Was it not designed just for a quick visual test so that the technician can see a fault or just move on quicker, knowing either the compression's are okay or not?

Is it not just as quick to use an amps clamp and sync a cylinder along with volt drop from the battery?
