pico 4425a question about the attenuator

recently i got this new scope and ready to play around with it.is attenuator required for picking up ignition waveform. dont really want to damage my unit. thanks you everyone.

In case of doubt, put attenuators always. Then see max peak volt and compare with scope standard input. Make a math decision with a logical conclusion Yes no.
