damaged my D channel, now what?

Post by gogetta3 »

i have a 3423 (4 channel auto scope that i bought back in 2008 approx)

today i accidentally put spark voltage dirrect to channel 4..
a defective spark plug boot zapped my secondary pickup.. (yes i had it earthed)
at first no channels would work.. but after removing and having a lool inside the unit and putting it back together it works on channels A B C but D is no good..

i can see this being a relatively common problem.. as damaged and defective spark plug leads is not uncommon..

has anyone else had this happen and what was the cost to fix?

thanks

Hello and thank you for the post, sorry to hear about the issue surrounding channel D

We can repair this for you on site here at Pico UK (assuming the device is not beyond economical repair)

The cost is £192 Inc. VAT and £10 UK carriage. (The carriage cost would increase if overseas)

If the device is beyond economical repair then you will be offered a discount on a current replacement unit

I hope this helps, take care.....Steve
