I've been having issues with our 4423 scope. Waiting for a trigger, sometimes the red LED stops blinking, even though the vehicle is running and all 4 channels are hooked up to live signals. No action shows up on the screen when this happens, even though it shows "running". Sometimes I can get the action going again by moving the USB plug from one to another port on my laptop. A year ago it was repaired:

Hi Ralph,
The USB connector on the unit was broken. We replaced the connector, then re-tested the unit to confirm that the repair was successful.
Thanks,

How can I troubleshoot this? The cable was purchased from a Picoscope dealer, likely with the scope itself.
And, are there any cautions about USB cable length? Somewhere I saw information that the long 4.5 meter cable has been discontinued in its USB 3.0 version. I have only USB 2.0 ports on my laptop. The existing cable is 1.8m m long.
