My brand new PicoScope 4225a seemed to work well with PS7 automotive ver. 7.0.53.6389 for the last couple of weeks. Now I've updated to PS7 automotive ver. 7.0.55.6592 and it ran fine for a half hour. Then the software froze up on me. I closed the program and re-launched it, but now it does not see my 4225a at all! Should I just use PS6 for now? Anyone, please help!!!
PS: my 4225a does show up in Device Manager (Windows 10)
PPS: when I plug in my 4225a, PS7 does do a search, but after a few seconds of searching, it fails to recognize my unit.
Hello and thank you for the post, I am sorry to hear you are experiencing these issues but we will resolve this for you.
Your 4225A will most certainly function work with ver. 7.0.55.6592
Could you confirm your 4225A is functioning OK with PicoScope 6 Automotive software?
You mentioned that your software froze, could you confirm if any other applications were running simultaneously with PicoScope and were they affected too?
Could you also restart your PC and recheck PS7?
I will sit tight for your feedback, take care......Steve
Ah! Thank you, Mr. Smith!!! I rebooted my Windows 10 desktop (ver. 2004 build 19041.450) and now all is back to normal. PS7 has re-established connectivity to my 4225a. But I wish that rebooting wasn't required to cure this issue, though. Anyway, thanks a million again, Mr. Smith!!!
