Hi all just had a problem that did not show up on the diagnostic test 2 litre Xtrail hard start and cutting out whilst driving, after faulting crank sensor , checking fuel filter, and various other forum suggestions, turns out it was the primer bulb , it had a split and it let fuel return to the tank direction , easy fix after a hard find hope this helps someone out in the future as it seems Xtrail are sensitive to this type of fault.
