Boxer 3.0 2011 no Speedo

Post by Ryanbalharry »

Hi, hoping someone can help!
Peugeot boxer 3.0 2011 4050kg
No speed signal to Speedo. The instrument cluster has been replaced, body control module, ECU and abs module have all been checked. No speed sensor on gearbox. Vehicle speed is reading as 0. All 4 abs speed signals are working. Intermittent hill hold and traction control loss, can be turned of and takes about 30 mins to come back on.

Any help greatly appreciated!

There is no speed sensor on the gear box. I assume speed signal is one generated by the ABS module. I haven’t found the right wiring diagram yet to test the signal at the cluster?

Thanks for you reaponce

I don't have a diagram in front of me.

However I am quite sure that the ABS recieves the Wheel Speeds and puts them on either the CAN or VAN networks.

Things like the Radio, Instruments, Airbag, BSI, Park Brake etc. will then get them from the network.

I dont think you can look for a raw "Speed" signal as such at the cluster.

Check your wiring diagrams.

Let's find the wiring diagrams, as far as I remember, it should be a lin bus between the engine control unit and the dashboard

Unlikely to be Linbus, that is used for different reasons

I have had a quick look at a diagram for this.

I think that you need to do a global scan with a good scan tool then look at actual values and actuations.

The BSi will have a big part to play in this.
