PICOSCOPE 2205A

Post by autodoc »

Hi Guys, I'm new to scopes so I really need some help. I just purchased the Pico 2205A and a 600 AC/DC amp current clamp from aeswave. It seems that there is no mention of this clamp (07-600) in the drop down list box so i am unable to select it. How do i add this clamp to the software so that i can select and use it?

Regards,

Henry.

Hi, 2205A is not an automotive scope. Just for info.
Search in the manual for creating custom probes.

Henry,

You can always call or email us at AESwave for support or questions about your equipment.

As for the probe, the easiest way would be to import the 600A clamp probe file into your software.

I have added the file as an attachment. You should be able to get it from the link at the bottom of this post.

•In import it, open your Pico 6 software. (the scope does not have to be connected at this time)
•Select Tools from the Top menu, and then Custom Probes from the drop down.
•On the right side of the pop up window, click on the Import button.
•Find and select the new file and click on the Open button.

That should add the probe calibration to the bottom of the list under Library.

There are a couple videos that go through parts of the process on how to create or modify probe files as well:
