Peugeot 207 1.4vti

Post by Burt_100 »

Hi,
I have a 1.4 vti Peugeot 207 that is pressuring the inlet manifold and I believe that the timing is out. I have attached a waveform of the crankshaft, and inlet and exhaust cam sensors, Can anyone advise if the timing is correct?
Thanks
Johnny

Have you tried the waveform library?

Hi

This image is taken from a Peugeot 207 1.4 VTI - I know it's not a picoscope psdata file that you can play with, but by looking visible at the image - I would say the cam and crank timing are out of spec.

I am almost sure it needs a timing chain I just need to get the chain off and compare to the new one to verify, I carried out a pressure test on the cat and all was good, Thanks so much to everyone for all the help
