Serial Decoding Wildcard

Post by ashtray1987 »

Hi Guys,

Anyone know how to search for a wildcard in the Serial Decoding table.

For example I want to search for all CAN frame IDs starting with 5. However when I do this I receive every CAN frame ID containing a number 5.

I tried many ways i.e. 5XX 5** etc. etc. but to no avail.

Appreciate if anyone knows how to do this, i'm sure I remember a time before when this worked.

Thank you
Ash

Hello and thank you for the post

At present I cannot see a way to filter for IDs that commence with the number 5 (e.g 5 11) as you are correct, the decode table returns IDs containing the number 5

We can however use Excel which is a little clunky and involves extra "moves" but it does help in the interim.

The following video describes the technique

Rest assured I will add this as a New Feature Request

I hope this helps, take care......Steve
