I downloaded today and installed the latest Pico software on the Jap vehicle partition, used the scope for a bit and then this

Please dont say its the laptop or a virus or the usb cable because it isnt. I use this cable with many other VCI's and trust it to coms with a VCI's when Im doing a module firm/software flash
I could understand it if the scope was used 5 times a day and the USB was plugged unplugged but it get used less than 5 times a month and is very will looked after and always housed in its case
can you please tell me what I have to do to sort this, Its just a joke now

I don’t know why, but I would not use such usb adaptors and for sure not on usb 3.0 on that picoscope model.
Second, the vci you mention use 12v from diag plug, so no much current draw I assume.
I would give it a try a good usb cable on the right side usb 2.0 port.
