Sample Rate Limiting

Hi Guys,

Is there any way to improve the efficiency of the sample rate when capturing digital signals.

For example, digital input oscilloscopes required only very low sample rates to capture a clean waveform i.e. CAN bus. That way we can spread the memory depth over many more screens. What I don't want to capture is meaningless noise, but I don't want toblerone shaped CAN frames :-P

Is there a way to do this with a 4425? Would bandwidth limiting have any effect, or is it only possible by limiting the sample rate?

Appreciate if you have any feedback.

You will need to sample at 8-10x the baud rate for good CAN reconstruction.
