Hi guys!
Even if I have a good hardware resources, I7, sometimes i experienced myself this problem. It`s most like a software - driver issue. Hope someday will be fixed. This is very annoying ... sometimes

sometimes? all the time, we cant have a scope trace on screen that freezes, that's the idea of the scope, look at the screen to find the glitch, screen freezes and we miss it, whats the point !

Yup. 6.13.6.3775 is a broken build. I suggest you update.

Not aware of any such issues with the current build but it does have a bug with the RPM/Frequency measurement box.

I would also suggest that if you did replace the USB connector on your scope that you look carefully at the repair. Any issues with this and the PC/Scope may not be seeing the data they expect which could cause problems.

The screen lockup has been happening for months, well before the USB problem

I did check in the help for updates and it said the software was up to date.

definitely no issues with PC as both toughbooks (built to last) with screw in USB connector / adapter

If I was to change that USB, I will, as I always do double check my soldering, I do quite a bit of eeprom, mcu and mem chip work

that's fiddly work so a massive USB connector wouldn't be a problem.

I had nothing to do with design, manufacturing of the hardware or play any part in software development, all I done was bought it hoping it was going to be a reliable tool but unfortunately not much is built to last these days, its more down to greed than quality

Unfortunately the online service is not currently working for all customers.

The latest software version is always available directly from the website Latest Version, and is released there before it is added to the online update service.
