5.7L Hemi timing correlation

Post by Wrangler57 »

I'm new to the Pico scope. Have a 2011 5.7L hemi with a P0016 code, timing misalignment. I've scoped it several times and tried to use the Pico procedure to get the cam and crank angles, Looked at this forum till my eyes are sore but frankly I don't get it. Please look at my attachment and let me know what you think? Thanks

Hello and thank you for the post

Your phase measurements are fine, I have added the time rulers to indicate the angular position of one of the camshaft lugs in relation to the crankshaft

From my chosen lug on the cam to your phase rulers locations I measure approx 11.5 teeth on the crankshaft pick up or 79.65°

The following posts and case studies will help with this style of measurement

Cam and Crank here

Cam and Crank 2 here

Case study here

I hope this helps, take care.....Steve
