2004 Ford Edge FLS / RC / WPS Waveforms Misfire

Post by smog1st »

2004 Ford Edge 3.0L 265K miles runs rough P0303 misfire, P0316 misfire stored. Mode 6 showed high misfire count for #1&3.

Odd cylinders are under manifold. I usually bust out my waekon secondary ignition tool just to get a beep to see if the coils are firing. Which they all were. I do a pico diagnostics compression test (customers seem to understand percentages more so i do that one first):

showed two cylinders weak. so i did my own with sync #2 sync. firing order 1-4-2-5-3-6

Hello, I could of swore i got it right. Both 1&3 are weak. (3)-6-(1)-4-2-5-(3)-6-(1) so when i did the overlay i was looking for a good current rise with two weaker ones on each side. I spaced and didn't put a sync when i had the FLS and WPS on it. Car is gone now :(
