probe for fuel ethanol percentage sensor

Post by Marciooliveira »

Hello everyone I would like you to help me create a custom probe for use with this ethanol percentage sensor, it has 12 volt power and outputs in 50 to 150 hertz, I would like to turn this frequency into percentage from 0 to 100 % as i live in brazil all our vehicles are flexfuel and it would be very useful for me to use peak 4425 to see the percentage of ethanol in the fuel

Hello ,
Input units for PICO can only be:
- microvolts;
- millivolts;
- volts;
- kilovolts;
You have an output signal - hertz.
It seems you can’t just create a probe for your sensor.
It is possible to create a script, but it is more complicated.

If you set the channel coupling to Frequency for Channel A, the channel itself will return a signal between 50Hz and 150Hz
Channel Frequency.PNG
You can then create a Math Channel that is simply A-50 and set the units to % , just import the Ethanol Percent math channel
