Automotive diagnostics engineer

Post by ukziggy »

Hello

New to the forum, currently at Bentley in Crewe England. Working as an electrical diagnostics engineer.

Previous history in the automotive trade as a contractor having worked in manufacturing plants with various brands such as McLaren, JLR, BMW, Mini, Bentley and many more.

Would like to hear from other diagnostics engineers, auto electrician etc to see what opportunities may be potentially in the near future.

Thanks

Iver

Plenty

More than 90% of Garage owners and their Technicians will boast, yes boast, that electronics in cars is all wrong and they cannot understand it.
Yet the Boeing 747 celebrates its 50th Birthday.

Visit 20 Garages in your city and ask the technicians a question, which component has terminals marked 30, 85. 86. 87 marked on it and what does it do ?

Do that and report back. Thanks

Hello ukziggy,

Welcome to the forum!

There is a lot to take in on here and some brilliant technicians from all walks of life.

You experience with those prestigious brands will no doubt mean we can all learn something from you and hopefully you will can learn something too.

Since working at Pico I've found that scope opportunities are only limited by your imagination. Being able to see events be it electrical, hydraulics, pressure, vibration and sound in real time, opens up so many possibilities to technicians all over the world.

The forum is always open to allow discussion on new or existing subjects as well support@picoauto.com or the phone where we are always happy to discuss new applications.

If you need any help or assistance finding your way on the PicoScope journey then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards

Ben
