MAF airflow sensors

Post by PANTANI »

Newbie here with a question,
When a DTC refers to a MAF airflow sensor A circuit/ B circuit out of range or voltage too high/too low.
what is the difference between the A circuit and B circuit or is it referring to the same thing?
In other words is it referring to the signal out of range or the 5v reference out of range?
Sorry if this looks like a dumb question but I cant find the answer I,m looking for on the web.
Thanks.

What car are you working on ? A wiring diagram will tell you what each wire does on the MAF.
A & B could refer to engines that have a V configuration and 2 Air Masses.
In other words is it referring to the signal out of range or the 5v reference out of range?
Could be either or both. You have to work that out by measurement. If your 5v Ref is LOW then your Signal will be LOW.
