Attenuation Calculation by Scope

Post by AlexMpico »

Hi I'm using an inductive Sec Ig clamp to get a waveform. Every other time I've used it I have got the correct calculation and kV indication. However, on my last usage, the scope seems to be out by a decimal: ie logging a 100kV spike (which it cannot be) instead of around 10kV.
The Linear Equation I'm using for 10,000X attenuation pickup is y=10,000x + 0.
I haven't changed this and rechecked the equation had not problems on previous usage.
Am I doing something wrong?
Waveform with Sec and Prim below (questionable result) plus Sec only (ok result)
thanks
Alex
