Hello...
Need help from experts here.
Car came in with plugged up DPF with heavy carbon deposits in the exhaust and turbo. Trouble codes were - P0299, P046C,P0121, 7934,P00AF. Before coming to my garage, the HP pump and injector units were serviced by another garage.
Complete exhaust cleaned and DPF decarbed, Turbo serviced, Cyl head reconditioned, and commissioned the engine. Spewed lot of carbon out initially and cleared. But engine still runs on low power, smoke. Test driven for more than 30kms. No trouble codes!
Boost actuator working, MAF responding well.
Scoped injectors at idle and 2500 rpm. Did not like them. Kindly have a look and share what you think.
Thanks.
Is it black smoke coming from the tailpipe ! If that's the case I would be looking at the MAF sensor and this is despite your comment.
You should check the specified vs actual values from the maf sensor it could be reading a high MAF value.
The diesel particle filter is cleaned and my first thought was if the ash level should be reset or not. I know when the DPF is changed for new, it should be reset !!!.
Hi,
Firstly if yoy have black smoke coming out of any diesel equipped with a DPF or the tailipe is black than you
the DPF is damaged and needs to be replaced. No cleaning will restore a damaged DPF.
