Great Wall X200 Cam crank waveform

Post by s4c »

Hi

I am after a camshaft vs crankshaft waveform for a 2013 Great Wall X200 with a GW4D20 Delphi controlled engine.

I have looked on the waveform database but nothing is listed.

The head gasket was replaced. Fuel pressure is as desired on cranking but there is no injection trigger.

I am desperate to find wiring diagrams but I keep hitting a brick was!

A known good waveform would really help.

Regards

Simon

Hello S4C,

Autodata have the vehicle listed on their data base. If you are registered you should be able to ask for any additional information required.

A brief look suggests that the engine has a cam-belt tooth drive and is not a chain drive. The crankshaft sprocket alignment is interesting and I can see how an innocent mistake could happen during valve timing procedure, however even if the valve timing were out of alignment, that would not stop the injection triggering.

I wonder when reassembling the cylinder head assembly whether the camshaft sensor and or wiring has not been refitted, or refitted correctly?

Just an idea!

Hi

We managed to get this vehicle going. It appears that the Delphi piezo injectors have to be bled after any type of work done around the cylinder head otherwise they can seize.

The garage removed them and they were sent away to the local diesel specialists who unseized them and the vehicle now runs.

I've not heard of this before, but if this is the case, what happeens when the forgetful owner runs out of diesel! Seized injectors?

Anyway, I now have a known good cam / crank trace that I will upload to the database.

Many thanks

Simon
