I would love a button that simply brings the rulers back

Post by Steve J »

To its "unused" location.
Somtime im putting them up to see something and scroll furter down the buffer only to find something else i would like to put rulers on. Then i have to scroll back to find my rulers, slide them to the right edge and then find the new spot again.
So a reset button would be handy

Hello Steve J,

Thank you for your post and the feedback.

I'm going to make an assumption here that you are referring to the time rulers when you have zoomed in on a buffer? If this is the case then the rulers are always still there ready to be pulled into play when you are.

I have attached a short video demonstrating this by moving left and right within a zoomed section of a buffer and then bringing the time rulers back in where ever they were left. By locking them using the padlock in the ruler legend you can make measurements based on one already taken.

I hope this helps and if I've made an incorrect assumption then let me know and we can assist you further.

Kind regards

Ben

Hi Steve,

This works in the same principle for the rotation rulers as it does for the time rulers. As soon as you scroll along a buffer and either rulers are applied and move off the screen, depending on which way you move the will park either at the bottom left or the bottom right of the screen.

I hope that helps and give it a go in demo mode but if you need further assistance please get in touch.

Kind regards

Ben

Ah. They hide under the white Time rulers so i didnt see them. Have to move those first to be able to grab the green ones.
So all that cleared up... my suggestion still stands ;)

You mean about a reset button?

Did you know that you can simply use the x in the rulers info box to park them all back home?
