Hi everyone.
I am currently working on a mini cooper s, It is 1.6 16v R60 engine code N18B16A year - 2014.
Symptoms are as described from customer - if car is warmed up on driveway for 5 mins before driving off first thing in the morning then no engine mil lamp. but if no static warm up and then driving down the road then mil lamp will illuminate. I have as yet to duplicate these 2 scenerios.
Engine mil codes are:
2DA0 - inlet camshaft: angle offset with respect to crankshaft outside tolerance.
2C58 - charging pressure control, switch - off: pressure build up blocked.
I have scoped the crank & both camshaft signals and i would like to find out if this is a good or bad correlation. i cant seem to find any known goods in the waveform libary that match this engine code.
Thankyou for looking and looking forward to any replies.

Peter.

Sorry for late reply. I never got to the bottom of this as customer traded the vehicle in, so there was no need to sort it out. It is on my 'to do' list to find a know good one day.
Did you have any luck.

Happy scoping

Regards

Albie
