turn of demo mode when starting up.

Post by foppe »

Hello All,

I have checked the flag a while ago to startup up in demo mode when the usb scope is not connected.
Now it startsup in demo mode automattically, having a big sine wave flickering on the screen, which I find very annoying.

Is there a way to get rid of this? some kind of setting to turn off demo mode at startup?
or having the big sine wave to stop flickering?

thanks

Can you post the text from "Help->About" so we can check the software version you have.

You could try the "Load Factory Settings" option in "FIle->Start-Up Settings"

off course, it is recently updated to:

PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.12.9.2917
Copyright © 1995-2017, Pico Technology Ltd.

Model: Demo
Serial Number: Demo
Driver Version: 6.12.9.2917

(we use picoscope 4444 btw)

I changed the startupsettings to load user default settings and atleast the big sine wave is not shown anymore.

When you said Sine Wave I thought it must be a Test and Measurement PicoScope. This is the Automotive Forum, we also have a Test and Measurement Forum

Can you locate the trace.xml file as shown in section 3 of the FAQ Guide and email to support@picotech.com and the team can take a look why your 4444 is not being recognised.
