Your methodology makes sense , where are the scope patters to support it .If you have solved problems with this present the data .We all learn from participation and sharing

These are just notes that I have written down to help people whilst they are trying to trouble shoot a CAN fault. They can just pop on here and run through the list and see if there is a step that they have forgotten/missing. It is not a a case study or a diagnostic discussion. Its merely a diagnostic aid to help someone out if they are struggling. Sorry for the lack of scope captures

Hi,

We have a CAN BUS communication issue.

We measured the CAN H and CAN L data line and one of the signal level is LOWER than the others.

What's caused this? :|

Connector / wiring extra resistance, power supply to the respective module insufficient, bad CAN transceiver inside module.0
