BMW E60 520d intermittent non start

Post by BCAUTOREPAIR »

hi i have an e60 with an intermittent non start i think it may be the pump in the tank, I have took a trace of the voltage and current from the pump but the current seems to jumping around a good bit is this normal or is this a sign of a bad pump. I've attached copies of my traces.

Hi just check your low pressure input to the rail,it should be 3.5 to4.0 bar,if you have a scan tool it will be shown in data pids rail pressure sensor for plausability of .5volts @ koeo or koer at 1.12volts running at idle, should go to 3+volts on a snap,
Any fault codes relative to low pressure?
