If your 100 the crank pin your using is correct and the static timing is bang on we need to explore another reason for the low intake vacuum .
Compressions
Air leak check
Throttle plate
Valve clearances
All the basics but until that vacuum.reading is up we will never get the engine to idle , the puffing noise interests me could you perhaps video the symptom it may help more accurately understand the concern

I can't remember but is the crankshaft timing gear sprocket a fully floating type or is it keyed !

Both of the cams and crank are floating pulleys.

I would double check your crank pin and make sure your piston is at tdc physically when up against the pin .

As Eric O. would say : THERE IS YOUR PROBLEM, LADY :)
Car pures like brand new....0 Error codes present, Full Power
and not 1 Misfire.Vacuum readings steady and at normal specs.

Will do some after Waveforms in the next Week or so, but just
follow up, and not leave this open-ended....

That must have sounded terrible when running, and starting that engine must have been a nightmare!

Had the timing jumped too ?

Otherwise that broken plate does not explain the low vacuum or have I missed something ?

I believed the timing had jump from his scope traces!

I not sure whether the engine actually run!

With this in mind, I'm thinking along the lines of the following;

When the starter motor pinion engages the ring gear the plate turns much faster than the crankshaft because 'yes' it's detached, hence low speed turning crankshaft = slow piston movement, hence low vacuum, or would you think I have missed something myself?
