Hi all
So this car is now stripped and about to fit the new Cams with followers etc, (kit has all new followers, good, as only 2 were close to servicable - would not have replaced them regardless) but...

The Cams don't have any marks on them and can't trust the old ones - the gears were completely screwed, so I'm after some tech info please

Does anyone out there have some PDF or other info on the cam replacement positioning/setup?
We have the timing info for Cam belt replacement (Autodata), but that's not covering the cam setup for new cam shafts.

Any help gratefully accepted, here in the forum or email me directly richard@fioranocars.com

Just surprised that this common lump, the 2.0 R4 16v TDI CR EA189 twin cam belted engine has so little out there on the web, a few bits on the belt change but that's about it ... despite it being the engine that caused all VW/Audi's problems with Diesel gate. And the fact it's renowned for chewing up the rockers/cams!

To be fair, it was the people at VW that caused the Dieselgate fiasco, not the engine.
