Forum etiquette

Hello All,

Following on from a quote (some text removed) by a member of our forum on another post:

Its getting like a kids playground now, I used to have a read through this forum quite often but now with all this slagging each other and the "I'm better then you, you don't know what you're talking about" it's getting very boring.

Give it a rest, its an automotive discussion forum, its not for KIDS, so grow up !!!!

We would like to remind all forum members that the clouding of valuable thread information due to personal relationships for whatever reason will not be tolerated.

As correctly stated above, this is "an automotive discussion forum". Our board is for all members, of all levels of ability.

We would also like to remind all forum members that we do have a report function on the forum. If you feel another member is giving bad or incorrect advice please feel free to report the post using the button:

Admin will arrange for a member of Pico's Technical Support team to investigate the advice that has been given. If found to be incorrect, a response will be made. This will help all members of the forum, and could even assist the original poster of the advice.

Equally, if you are not 100% sure of your advice, you should state this in your response.

If you ask for advice, then you must realise you are opening yourself up to be questioned and of course, advised.

Kind regards,
Mike Valentine

Sadly, this morning we have had to yet again tidy up a thread on our forum, through simple lack of respect. This will not be tolerated and as such has resulted in temporary bans.

This forum is for all users of all levels. If you can contribute to a member's query, please feel free to do so. If however you only choose to contribute in order to prove your technical knowledge and embarrass, humiliate or belittle that member then your contribution is not required, and will not be tolerated.

We are all here to learn and share our knowledge. No member here is of a higher authority than others, however some are more experienced with their PicoScope.

Please, respect one another and let's move this forum forward.

To be clear once again: We will NOT tolerate behaviour towards individuals that has a negative impact on our forum. The idea that new or existing members may feel uncomfortable to post a query, or even a welcome message through fear of belittling is simply unacceptable.

If you have any queries or concerns, please feel free to drop me either an email, or a PM. Links to both are available to the right of this message ->
