206 1.4 HDi non start

Postby dansully84 » Wed Aug 10, 2016 8:58 am

Hi chaps,

I have a Peugeot 1.4 hdi 8HZ engine code which had a new engine fitted. when cranking it briefly fires on the first couple of turns but then stops and just cranks with no action. Fuel pressure measured is correct to the reference value, no immobiliser issues. Engine ecu keeps storing intermittent cam sensor signal faults. replaced sensor after checking wiring and still the same. I have attached a waveform file for cam and crank sensors. These look to be correct. Can anyone confirm they are correct and any advice? The engine was supplied bare so everything got swapped over from the old unit.

This is sorted now. The scope images attached are good signals and in sync. Turned out the engine ecu software was some how corrupted. Ecu software update downloaded with Peugeot planet. Started on the button.
