Maybe I'll be the forklift guy?

Post by Robe5000 »

Greetings,
I've signed up to merely browse around for some info to aid me on my quest to get my boss to buy me a pico for Forklift Truck diagnostics.
I'm a total noob as far as scopes go, but from what I've seen around the YouTube and Internets it's a pretty handy rig if a fella can figure out how to use one.
Are there any other forklift techs on here?
Anyone have any tips on how I could sell one of these to my boss?

The million dollar question, or maybe a thousand dollars, hopefully someone will provide some wise words shortly.

Hi
Just explain everything you can do with a multi meter the scope does better. Makes electricity visible, easy to see voltage and current on a screen. Save the files for each model and reuse. Using a WPS 600 pressure transducer, allows you to test hydraulic systems. and view result in a picture, which is printable. High voltage test using a differential probe up to 1400 volts.
Software is free. Test any sensor before changing for first time fix.
Could go on and on. Hope this helps
Philip
