ta167 and battery test

Post by antthecat »

Hi all, have a query today, I've bought the ta167 200/2000a switchable current clamp and wanted to do a battery test, set clamp to 2000a but on my current software (updated a month ago) could not find anywhere in Pico diagnostic where to tell the software what clamp is in use.

Appeared to work ok but am I missing something?

Cheers All

Anthony.

Hi Anthony,

When doing battery test with TA167, you just need to select a right mode: 2000A mode, and then the software will tell you exact reading.

The output rate of the clamps (TA167 selected 2000A, TA015 selected 2000A,TA019,) we use for battery test with Pico Diagnostics is the same, 1mV/1A. So as long as you select a right mode within a right clamp, the software would show you right reading.

Cheers,
Eric
