Re: An ignition question

So after a bit of advice, and some training I have looked at this one again. Question, is the amplitude of the crank sensor enough? Anyone got a reference to compare for Cam/Crank sync? http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh156/chris_delta/20130225-0001_05.gif I don't seem to be able to resize the im...

An ignition question

Corsa 1.0 X10XEP with no start and no codes set, according to the customer it was driven approximately 2 miles and then parked up. They have had a good go at this one themselves so it's got a second hand fuel pump, coil pack and air flow meter. Plenty of fuel, I appear to have injector drivers and w...

Re: Voltage Drop Testing

Hi Carl.

I'm at Louth, so maybe 25 miles from Lincoln. Lift sharing sounds good to me, let me know when/where you're going and we'll see if we can set something up.

Re: Hello

Hi Mike

Yes i get the news letter, it's very informative. I especially like the case studies.

I am based in Grimsby but work at Louth in Lincolnshire.

Practise is always good. There doesn't seem to be any courses in Lincolnshire to learn the thing so I guess it's going to be hands on learning!

Re: Voltage Drop Testing

I would, but I already appear to have fixed it. Bad engine and body earth points.

I can still get them if you like, not sure how but I can make it up! :D

Voltage Drop Testing

Right, first off the basic story of the Car. 1999 Renault Laguna DTi presented with overheating issue. If no electrical items are switched on the vehicle runs fine and the cooling fan cuts in at approx 3/4 up the gauge. If you then switch on electrical items such as Rear Screen heater, heater blower...

Re: motorbike ignition fault

I would have thought that if it had been a cam issue, either timing of the cams or the "wrong" cams it would be the same on all cylinders and not just 2 or 3?

Or maybe that's just me not being clever...
