Re: Piezo injector operation. Current vs voltage

Absolutely not comparing onions with strawberries. Trying to give you a visual example. You have completely missed the point. He is not Grounded to Earth. Point being? Nothing Piezo there, Is there ? Nope! Wasn't talking Piezo. Talking what a voltage measurement meant. He has no Scope or any real Me...

Re: Piezo injector operation. Current vs voltage

Some people don't see it this way, but voltage is just present, the voltage levels change but voltage is always there, it has no direction. Agree. It's a relative thing. It's a measure of potential difference. It's why bleed down resistors exist. https://youtu.be/9YmFHAFYwmY?t=64 In this video you ...

Re: Help me fix some ones boat.

Hi Iver Thanks for the reply. This has a fuel pressure regulator on the rail that I understand should hold 80 Bar, KOEO. Also a suction control valve on the pump. My terminology may be wrong. Wings and guards, hoods and bonnets, mufflers and silencers for example. Way out of my comfort zone on this,...

Help me fix some ones boat.

Hi. I have had little experience with VW and even less with boats. But some how got involved with a Trophy boat that has a marinised VW 3.0L TDI that is apparently the same as the one out of a Taureg. It just cut out one day and now won't fire. Story is: No communication with controller 01 using VCD...

Re: VW Polo 2013 1.2 TSI Missfire on warm up setting codes

There is moderate carbon build up on the back of the intake valves. This, below, is on a FSI engine and was enough to cause the same symptoms. It's apparently a fairly common problem. Not one I often see as I'm in Oz. I only went down that road after everybody else had played parts darts and from e...

If you suspect battery, charge it and disconnect from auto. Check 2 days later.

This would suggest it is NOT a timing chain issue. Any clues?

Any help is much appreciated. Chris
"NOT", why not?

To me screams timing chain. Put the scope on hot and cold and you will see why. Look at how the tensioner works.

Re: Capcha

I have put so much effort into contributing on this forum with all the accompanying graphics to then waste my time with the capcha. I don't think pico have any idea how much it extinguishes enthusiasm. I can't be bothered any more with it, (picoscope) as there are no reliable channels to share our w...
