Re: Sample waveform for Vauxhall Insignia Active ABS Current

I will see if we have any active ABS waveforms from the 30A clamp and let you know, but it will still be close to the limit of what the clamp can do. The problem is that clamps designed to measure under 1A are expensive and will not get much use. If there is not much spare wire to loop then another ...

Re: Sample waveform for Vauxhall Insignia Active ABS Current

Sub 20mA is asking a lot from a 60A clamp but its just about possible. If there is any slack cable wrap it through the jaws several times - if you can get 10 turns then the clamp sees a switching between 70mA and 140mA rather than 7 and 14. Dont worry if you can not do this 10 times - 2x is better t...

Re: Waveform Library Issue

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion - there are dozens of names for the waveforms (channel labels) already in the software. No such list however can really be complete so we both included the option to add your own and always planned to add more to the list based on user suggestions. We have a list of mor...

Re: Waveform Library Issue

Hi Bob, We have done some work on this already. Its one of those things that seemed easy but was a bit more complicated than it looked. PicoScope has a limit, the server we use has both a size and time to upload limit. Where we are now is that files of 20Meg (and perhaps a bit more) should now uploa...

Re: Waveform Library Issue

Hi Bob, Our concern at the start was not to end up with too many huge files where the size was not justified (100 million samples of battery voltage....) As the limit is preventing users from uploading useful files we will increase the limit as you and others have suggested. If we can do this withou...

Re: Vehicle Libary

Hi,

The list of vehicles is long but as soon as you type one or two letters the list will shrink to show only a few - type V and only manufacturers starting with V are displayed. Vo and its just Volvo etc.

Re: WPS600

The WPS600 is intended for diagnostics but not permanent mounting / use.

The battery life between charges is a few hours so its fine to leave it connected until the battery goes flat.

Re: The search for overlap.

A bone of contention when discussing exhaust gas pulsations is the time delay from combustion to exit at the tailpipe. We have had that conversation on our forums. Consider the speed of sound and how long that really would take to travel the length of the exhaust system.. Which is about 340 ...

Re: practising using the picoscope

Hi, The layout of the software has changed a bit over the years. To access the demo signals make sure you are using a copy of PicoScope automotive downloaded from this site (the splash screen says automotive and there is a drop down menu called automotive). Without a scope plugged in the software wi...
