Re: Possible low Amps clamp fault

Instead of pulling fuses to find the problem you can measure voltage drop over the fuses, this is a lot faster because you don 't wake up modules etc. When there is no current flow trough a circuit, the voltage over the fuse is zero. When there is a current, there wil be a voltage drop over the fuse...

Re: MAF testing

You can also download the mafcalc app from diagnose centrum to calculate the value. I believe the Bosch sensors have to be 1 volt exactly when you close both sides of the sensors housing. When I have a maf reading I don't trust, I take a scope capture, then clean it with a maf cleaning spray, then t...

Re: compression testing

You can open pico diagnostics and select compression test. Press F1 for info about the test.
You can also meassure the starter current or battery voltage during cranking to check if each cilinder takes the same battery power.

Robski,

What's the point of asking questions when you already seem to know or don't want to hear the answers.

Re: Cylinder misfire identification with WPS 500

No idea what the problem is for the fuel pulse measuring, connected as short as possible?

Do you have good compression and have you carried out an leak test on cilinder 3.
Both coils consuming the same current?

Re: Suddenly control signals become crazy

If cam and crank are oké and reach ecu connector and the power and ground of the ecu is good than I think the problem is inside the ecu. Mabey you can see the problem in live data while moving the ecu connector. Also warming or cooling the ecu can trigger the faults.

Re: Some decent laptop diagnostic software recommendations

What were the problems you run into? I use autocom cdp+ on my laptop. It's a good allround unit. Also have dec ss3, launch diagun, gscan 2, vcds and opcom advanced. By far my favorite is the gscan, it's the fastest scanner in data viewing that I know of. The downside might be that it's made for japa...

Re: PicoScope Beta 6.9 Waveform Library Browser

When I use the share only option I get the message 'waveform already saved' (wich it's not).
When I choose save and share it works correctly.
