4423 scope and a/c power to my laptop?

I just went back and checked the manual before asking this question. Can I have my laptop hooked up to the mains while I am using it as a scope with the 4423 scope? I was just looking at a car and getting some rather strange readings. I unplugged the laptop from the mains and the odd pattern went aw...

Re: Usb cable caused damage to my scope!

I just got my Scope back! It ended up taking a trip across the pond for repairs. I have to say that the people at Pico are stand up guys. I absolutely have to blame myself for the damage done, but they took care of it. I have decided to take a rolling tool box and make the scope a part of it, keepin...

Re: How to create reliable stable Current Drain

I've been following this thread for a while and thought I'd ask a couple questions. These days we use simple hand held testers for testing batteries that do a very good job of testing the ability of a battery to provide current and voltage. I am wondering if you could do something like this to test ...

Usb cable caused damage to my scope!

Not here to gripe at all. I dropped my scope a couple weeks ago and it happened to land just right against the USB cable damaging the USB port of my scope. I'm in America and my scope is on it's way to the UK. I sure hope it finds it's way home soon. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has seen ...

Re: 02 Sensor Heater resistance tolerance

Avdr, I did some more looking for how to get to the code. I think you would spend less money and less headache doing the o2 simulator. I saw these in the states and it couldn't be simpler. I know you want to do away with the o2s all together but this is the smartest thing I've seen. And cheap too! h...

Re: 02 Sensor Heater resistance tolerance

I just read it again. I must be getting old....it still looks to me like you are worried about the resistance of the o2 sensor heater circuits. And all I was trying to say is that would not give you those codes. It would give you p0135 for open circuit with a missing heater. What you would need to w...

Re: 02 Sensor Heater resistance tolerance

Avr, Those codes you are getting are not for the heater circuit. They are for Catalytic Efficiency which is calculated by looking at the relationship between before and after cat oxygen sensors signals. Something like a P0135 would be a problem with the heater circuit. So changing the resistance of ...

Re: Accurate and Stable low amps measurement

Back to work. :? I already ordered some parts including the allegro chip with an adapter to dip for breadboarding for now. I think the simplicity of the resistor had escaped me. I was looking into getting a 1 ohm resistor from Digikey. I was a little surprised at how expensive they could get. I was ...
