They can be pricey but the Panasonic tough-book is a good pick,I've seen it dropped, soaked with water and in general, beat up and came back to life every time..

If it ran before the timing belt replacement I have to assume your issue stems from that. Can’t explain the waveform, possible the ckp signal is inverted? I think there is a setting for signal inversion but can’t say that with 100% certainty, I will have to look at that next time I have the scope out.

Will keep that in mind, ironically the dealer did not have the recommended kit for checking fuel supply, however these machines have what I would call typical m/f quick connect fittings that many automotive aftermarket tool kits have...

Should've just wen t down to the local tool store I guess.

No problem, keep trying and learning... would also suggest detailing what kind of repairs have been done prior to this problem and what symptoms your car currently has.

I cant make a whole lot from your capture, couple suggestions:
attach a zoomed out scan
also there are no notes or channel labels.
