Re: Data over PWM?

Hi Steve A few years ago it was quite an eye opener when I discovered that a single wire from an MAF could signal both Intake Air Temp & Air Mass Values without using data. They simply varied both Duty for one value & Frequency for the other within the PWM signal. Very cunning ! Years ago the ECT on...

Let's not praise the motor vehicle education system, it seems there is much room for improvements would you not agree No I dont agree. It is clearly evident to me, over many posts and many years, that you are possibly the least knowledged of the regular contributors. You're a Trier, again hey ho. I...

Re: 2014 BMW F30 -N13 - Engine misfire

Will try the replacing lifters. Swapping from cylinder would probably more work but would prove the point ! As regards Oil pump...Use the pressure sensor port to test it right Yes and No, Some Engines wont run if they detect Low Oil Pressure, so you may need to make a T Piece. As Steve has already ...

Re: Cam crank signal Ford Focus 2 diesel 2010 hdi

The Cam / crank wave form looks ok except at the Tdc event, where it is inverted compared to a known good. FIRST. The "Missing Tooth" is not the TDC Event !! It is the Crankshaft Position Reference. Big Difference, Massive Difference !!! Having the Missing tooth at TDC, for many reasons would force...

Car starts and runs fine on brake cleaner . Really !! ?? I endorse Brake Cleaner as a diagnostic Aid, A very crude one but never the less very Crude. Re: Piezo injector operation. Current vs voltage

it is that technical training has been seriously watered down over the last 30 years. Professional science has seriously taken a back seat in modern technical training today! I would love to be a fly on the wall listening to that conversation between you & James Dillon, John Batten, Steve Smith, Be...
