Re: '02 Toyota Highlander and P340 Cam Code

Nice result and shows how a scope can show you what is really going on! Not having a go at you but why when you had a scope didn't you scope cam and crank supply, signal and ground signals before you changed the sensors as this may have prevented the new parts being fitted as they were not needed? Th...

Re: [X300] Mystery....

What type of oxygen sensors are fitted to this vehicle?

Has this been checked so you then know what sort if signal you should be seeing?

Re: Land rover 2

Both your post's make a lot of sense and just show's the difference between someone with knowledge and someone without :( I've been brought up by people who don't know anything about diagnostics, proper testing and it's hard to learn when they don't teach you or will not spend money for you to learn...

Re: Land rover 2

I can't remember off the top of my head as i haven't done one for a while but i'm sure it is 4.0 bar on the HP side but i'd have to check my LR tech info to be sure for the other figures. To test HP side i tap in at fuel regulator at the back of the cylinder head and LP could be done at the fuel fil...

Re: Land rover 2

In the TD5 engine the high pressure side and low pressure side are both built into the in-tank pump are they not? Why would you test low pressure when the high side is the more important one on this set up? Most problem's i have had have been from a lack of high pressure from the pump or they fail a...

Re: Land rover 2

Now i've looked again i see there are several capture's i though it was just one. I know you have to back up waveform's with tests i was just saying on this engine it is a bit of a pain to manually test fuel pressure that was all, i'm not claiming to be an expert! Fuel pumps are bad for going and us...

Re: Land rover 2

The maf capture Tim uploaded looks ok to me and i meant for doing a pressure test manually with a gauge it isn't easily done.

How is he going to know if pressure is to spec just from his capture and not a good known to compare to?

Re: Land rover 2

We do a lot of work on Land Rovers but i don't have a TD5 here at the moment that i could take a capture's from though. Is the pump making a loud whining noise? Does it start ok first thing in the morning? The MAF capture looks ok, Change alot of these as it's a common fault Also a couple of other f...
