Re: WPS500X zoom function

Hi Eric Unless this has changed, the following applies..... When you use the zoom function on the WPS500 you are AC coupling the signal within the WPS500 therefore the actual signal on the screen does not represent the value on the axis but it gives you a better magnitude of waveform to look at givi...

Re: rattling dodge intrepid

Great find with the WPS500X I have used the WPS loads on oil pressure systems, its great as it shows all the pulses from the pump so effectively you see every pump cycle, great for finding a pump thats not pumping capacity and its great for looking at pressure oppose to a fluttering analogue gauge. ...

Re: old adc 212

Hi David Just to enhance Toms answer a bit...... Have to agree partly with Tom on this one, time to say a big thank you to the ADC 212 scope as unless you get your hands on a Pico Parallel to USB converter it wont work. For todays technology really the ADC212 could send you on a wild goose chase, es...

Re: 4 channel standard kit

Hi Neil PP495 was the Original 4 Channel Standard kit which was superseeded and replaced by the PP857 Kit. The key differences was the Original Test leads were replaced with the Premiunm Coloured leads and the TA007 Insulation Piercing Probes were removed from the kit. Hope this helps Kind Regards L...

Re: what pico osci to buy?

Hi Lazsdi You would need to discuss this with the vendor you purchased it from to see how they can help you. If you work more on Commerial Applications id strongly recommend you go for the Commercial Kit as this has all the accessories to get you started to work on CNH and tractor type applications ...

Re: what pico osci to buy?

Hi Lazsdi Unfortunatley theres nothing you can do with the scope itself to convert it. How long ago did you buy it, you maybe able to return it if still within the return window. Otherwise really you have 2 options, try and sell it to recover as much of the cost as possible and purchase the 4423 Sco...

Re: compression test confusion

Hi Careys One major factor is that the Software uses both the WPS data as calibration data (Pressure), and the alternator Ripple Signal (for all Cylinders). It then 'tries' to align with the WPS and Alternator data therefore if the alternator Signal is poor, weak or the engine rotational speed is 'e...

Re: Does PicoScope 2204 work with PicoScope Automotive 6?

Hi The 2204 is a 8-Bit, Test and Measurement Scope and is not designed or intended for use with Automotive applications. As far as im aware there is no 'Automotive Version' of this scope as its a really poor scope to use with Automotive. It will NOT work with PicoScope Automotive Software or the Pic...

Re: hello new owner

Hi Dave The only thing your be able to test with very limited accuracy with that level of scope is 5 volt circuits i.e. sensors and some actuators. It will be extremely limited for you within Automotive and as I commented above I'd really advise against it. Its not just the scope, you would need to ...

Re: hello new owner

Hi Dave Welcome to the World of PicoScope Automotive :D I hate to go against Technical but im gonna have to on this one. The 8 Bit Scope will be useless to you im afraid. The resolution will be really poor when looking at Secondary Ignition, you wont get any diagnostic detail at all and the detail w...
