Any more data yet Bjorn I have planed to do some tests on one of my daughters cars over christmas they both have vw with fsi engines I know the sensors and the regulator are easy to get to Going to restrict lp flow and monitor hp sensor just to see the affect this hp pump is different but id like to...

The only thing i would say is a bench scope or usb scope designed for electronics will work and for a few years i used one. I had various over the years stating with a tektronics that had plug in front ends depending on the work ie band width then moved on to dso but my hobby has always been electro...

My quick down and dirty method is independent pressurised fuel supply (converted ac flush system which can deliver fuel from 20 psi to 100 psi if needed ) rules one out or in

So this is a zoom of the HP sensor


does not look very good compared to the diesels Ive looked at lately it looks like 1 of the pistons/diaphragms may be faulty

or I could be wrong as Im just musing

have a diesel mondeo in on wednesday with a similar random intermittent fuel pressure problem think Ill order another pwm driver

Hi GDI Gas Direct Injection my suggestion to start would be a variable resister say 10K ohm connected instead of the pressure sensor set the resister so that you get a suitable fuel pressure on the scantool and see if you lose pressure if you still have the problem pressure sensor not likely at faul...
