Re: bmw battery draw

someone else was trying to figure it out before I got in this morning so that's probably the case. thanks. I have basic skills btw, this isn't my first rodeo but im certainly not a bmw tech so this is kind of baffling with all the different systems this thing has. It doesn't matter if it's BMW or s...

Re: bmw battery draw

I guess you connected in parallel and blew tester fuse. If you are connected in series then it's impossible to get no reading

You would benefit from basic electical skills training. Like many others here in forum. Watching youtube is not the same as learning in class.

Re: Crash course in unit conversions please!

If you prefer then we could call it: Positive and negative side (just as battery positive and negative). Positive and ground side Power and ground Power and control and so on. You see high voltage on negative side because high voltage is applied to positive side. When other side of injector is not g...

Re: Crash course in unit conversions please!

Blue - Injector voltage negative side Red - Injector voltage positive side Green - Injector current Yellow - Stays at 0V so probably not connected. This file is great example of bad practice. First there is no channel labels about what is measured or same info provided in notes. No information about...

Re: Interpretation of scope correlation data!

1. What makes you think that that TDC is where crank triggers (missing teeth)? Hint: It's not.
2. Ignition takes place between compression and combustion stroke. Or some degrees before/after.
3. How can fuel get into cylinder if it's injected at the same time as ignition?

Think about this.

Re: Crash course in unit conversions please!

Oh boy. This proves to be a challenge but let's try. Am I correct saying that you did get that from Frank Massey videos? Your Picoscope will only measure voltage and therefore will only display voltage (in y-axis) against time (in x-axis). Your Picoscope is unable to measure current, pressure and ot...

Re: Dtc ECM-2680 Power inyector stage 2 Volvo XC90

This is very bad solution. Your car now has incorrect VIN code and configuration.

No need for REM replacement. In the future you will be unable to add/remove remotes because PIN is related to old VIN.

It's also worth getting injectors checked/rebuilt/replaced and recoded.

Sorry, my mistake. I checked the technical information and it is Hall sensor not MRE. But pattern is fine anyway.
Capture from Volvo application.

Crank signal is from newer type MRE sensor and looks fine.

EDIT: Checked and it's Hall sensor not MRE. But pattern is fine.

Re: is this a bad maf wiring fault ? ecu ? any help, thank m

Probably wiring diagram is incorrect then and VIDA states correct pin. Check if you have white-blue wire going to pin B:19 instead of B:27 EGR has 5 wires: 12V from fuse F35 Ground side control from ECM (PWM) 5V from ECM for position sensor Ground from ECT for position sensor Position sensor signal ...
