I think your praticing on the wrong thing here, it's difficult to get any practice time with tool, but I think this is the wrong kind of vibration / noise for the NVH tool. Steering angle sensor is incorperated in to the CIM Module on these cars, the invalid data could be incorrect steering angle data. You should be able to look at the steering angle via ABS/ESP data.

I'm surprised it takes a whole day. I would have thought within an hour the BUS would be asleep, after that I would imagine it would only be modules waiting for remote inputs i.e. remote transmitters, passive entry, door buttons / switches.
