Re: Cummins 6.7L Exhaust Brake Engaging When Accelerating

Hi Ryan, Sorry for the late reply on this. It sounds like this is going to be one of those jobs! I think we've got to try and get it back to stock software. There are too many variables going on that can be affecting the input. Would be interesting to know if these issues have been there since the d...

Re: 2001 ISC 8.3 CAPS Engine Speed Sensors - ScannerDanner

Thanks for sharing Paul. Great to see ScannerDanner getting involved with HD and I've no doubt it will help. For scope work in the states, worth checking out Diesel Laptops for scope work as they have a branded 4425A PicoScope as well as training. We are hoping to get more content for HD and OH avai...

Re: Connecting to a high voltage AC supply

Hi Tom, As already mentioned please don't use anything other than a differential probe if measuring anything on mains electricity. Attenuators only ever attenuate the signal side meaning the ground is unprotected. It's worth mentioning that depending on where you are measuring you should also be awa...

Re: Cummins 6.7L Exhaust Brake Engaging When Accelerating

Hi Ryan, Sounds like an interesting one for sure and as you say certainly sounds like command due to something else. ABS is an interesting one and does need some attention. If the throttle doesn't go above 50% can you drive the truck? Forgive my naivety when it comes to different truck models but wh...

Re: Just got a scope. What software?

Hello Halvis, A -031 variant of scope is actually a Toyota scope and as such it won't function with the generic software. For this reason you will need the approved Toyota software. For this you would have to speak with the regional Toyota technical team to see how you might obtain the software. Hop...

Re: Fluke clamp meter 333

Hello, I've taken a quick look at the clamp and it doesn't appear to have an output. Without that we have no way of providing the scope the input it needs to display the waveform. https://www.myflukestore.com/p1247/fluke_333_digital_400_amp_ac_clamp_meter.php Also looking at the specifications, this...

Re: CAT C7 ACERT HEUI Engine

Thank you deiselman8228, We had checked the pressure between the pump and the inlet to the head and so seeing that back pressure from the regulator. The problem was getting between something to connect the WPS500 onto the banjo of the the regulator in order to fit sight block which would have given ...

Re: Cummins QSB 6.7 HP Rail Pressure Sensor

Thanks for the update Wes, and great work on getting it sorted. Awesome use of the crank math channel as well. I use it a lot especially for performance based issues where there is either multiple misfires or worse - no fault codes. You can see more on it here https://www.picoauto.com/library/case-s...

Re: Cummins QSB 6.7 HP Rail Pressure Sensor

Hi Wes, Keep us posted on how Friday goes. It'll be interesting to see if that is the signal you are supposed to be getting or if it's a different type. As you say might be worth breaking out the plug and see what each pin is doing even if that's the first test you do with a simple key on, engine of...
