Re: Unusual o2 sensor waveform

... Live data is showing the voltage drop, and then pausing or stumbling accompanied by an engine stumble. ... I'm not really sure if I understood this. If you could show the O2 voltage PID in graph mode that will be more clear. ... The engine is suffering misfire issues, that come and go,sometimes p...

Re: Unusual o2 sensor waveform

Hi, Regarding the O2 sensor signal, related to the O2 sensor, everything looks ok to me... The switching is happening consistently, and it looks like it is happening at a fair frequency. That capture was made at a idle right (750 rpm)? If you would like to validate the sensor speed (frequency) you s...

Re: An help for study and decode the line CAN bus.

those bits you can decode yourself, it will be 0's & 1's. That binary you can convert to HEX. You can, but not a very pleasant thing to do  At least, you need to be aware of the bit stuffing before converting to binary and then to HEX. Maybe there are more details to take into account, tha...

Re: An help for study and decode the line CAN bus.

Hi men i start this topic for ask you an help for better understand the decoding and diagnose the signals of the CAN bus. First question: Someone knows what are those bits not decoded by pico software? ... I guess that could be from a number of things, like noise... Sometimes changing the threshold...

Re: Mini Cooper S (Petrol / Benzine) 2007

This is where a piezo clamp on the rail supply line would be worth a try . Indeed yes, except for the fact that this will start and run. Just that it wont run very well. A Pre & Post fix analysis with the Piezo may prove useful in the future. The Injectors are firing, not checked but I guess the du...

Re: Scope hiding voltage drop??

I don't believe that the measurement instrument, scope or DMM, could be the ground path for the coils... No way... The Picoscope has a 1 M ohm input impedance. Usually a good multimeter, like a Fluke one, is even more, like 10 M ohm of input impedance. In 12 volt systems with the Picoscope we are ta...

Re: Volvo V50

Here is a known good from that Engine, I don't have one at cranking, only at Idle speed Ok, so they are really firing... ... And that turns my theory on its head :? I think I got too tied up with "They Shouldn't be Firing" and "if they are firing it should start" Hopefully not a completely insane t...

Re: Volvo V50

... I'm not so sure that the current draw to Open and Close the Stack is minimal - Possibly not enough to fire fuel. The waveform structure of a piezoelectric injector is there, including (sometimes) the pilot injection event. The current and the time width of the command, does look "short", I agre...

Re: Volvo V50

Hi, STC, it looks like to me that it is firing the injectors. Piezoelectric ones, right? In the beginning of the capturing, it looks like you do have a pilot injection with a 1.5 ms main injection opening time: pilot and main injection.png Am I seeing this wrong? At the end of the capture, the injec...

Re: wps 500

In many aspects it feels that Volvo thinks technicians are stupid or just don't need lot of information It is not only Volvo, they are all the same !!! ... I agree with all of you, documentation could be better, or more accurately saying more "deep". The simple cam/crank correlation for instance, i...
