Re: TA 167 - Starting / Running current measurements

Hello and thank you for the posts and welcome to the forum. This is an intriguing characteristic you have revealed about the automotive charging system given the results obtained once the engine was running. (Alternator contributing) Reading your post, all the measurements taken with ignition on, en...

Re: Pico 6 software update 6.10.11.15

Hello again and thank you for the posts. I have tried to replicate this issue and the following is NOT correct When a waveform is downloaded containing a custom probe , it is automatically loaded into the library section of the channel options menu This is a mistake on my behalf and I apologise. Any...

Re: Capacitive Pick Ups - Stable Readings

Hello and thank you for the post.

Would you have a psdata file with the symptom present as this would help with evaluation?

If not could you provide the psprobe file as I would like to duplicate the issue here at Pico?

Many thanks, take care.......Steve

Re: Pico 6 software update 6.10.11.15

Hello Jim and thank you for your post and patience with this one. I too looked at my version of 6.10.11 software and could see the “resistance” probe within the library section of the channel options menu, however my colleague opposite has the identical software without this probe! Having spoken to ...

Re: Ford S-max 1.8TDCI Diesel Knock after exchange engine

Great news and thank you for the follow up as this adds real value to the post.

If its not tool late, could you post the in cylinder waveform after fix with the injector disconnected and another with it momentarily connected for a comparison?

No problem if not.

Take care......Steve

Re: Ford S-max 1.8TDCI Diesel Knock after exchange engine

Hello and thank you for the post as the waveform you have uploaded does reveal an insight into events taking place inside the cylinder during the four stroke cycle. The additional peak above TDC would appear to be the increase in cylinder pressure as a result of combustion. Here we have a concern as...

Re: DIESEL INJECTOR TEST

Forgot to mention the accelerometer test. Used a a stethoscope we can monitor the vibrations present in the common rail to look at pump pulsations and the effects on the vibration levels as a result of injection events. Again using the accelerometer on each individual injector pipe to monitor activi...

Re: DIESEL INJECTOR TEST

Hello Joe and thank you for the post. We have number of options for evaluating injectors and you may have read a couple of posts on here that talk about AC coupling of the fuel rail pressure sensor and injector "leak off" evaluation using the WPS500 pressure transducer. (Ideal for Toyota etc. where ...

Re: Battery test, wrong symbols

Hi Luca, thanks for the feedback. That would be great if you don't mind comparing the two tests on the same battery and displaying the results with the table for internal resistance values. Sorry Luca I assumed the battery was not fully charged from the results obtained. "Good but recharge" It would...

Re: Software License ?

Hello Mark sorry for the late reply To use your NVH tool I will need to issue you with a license key. To do so I will need the serial number of your scope and the serial number of your NVH interface unit. Once I have these numbers I can generate a license key for you to enter so enabling you to unlo...
