Just my 2 cents. I also had this problem. The scope would keep shutting down and alot of time the pc wouldn't recognize my scope. My USB. Cable was bad. I bought the best one i could find and have not had a problem since. That was about a year ago.

HEY GUYS I HAVE A COMMUNICATION PROBLEM ON A HEAVY TRUCK(CUMMINS ENGINE) SEE IF I COULD GET SOME HELP WITH. NO COMMUNICATION WITH SCAN TOOL. CHECKED FOR + AND - AT THE DLC CONNECTOR-YES. CHECKED J1939 WIRES WITH PICO- CAN HI IS SHOWING GOOD, EVEN DECODED IT IS GIVING ME INFORMATION CAN LOW IS SAYING...

When a low or high voltage code is logged. why is a short considered a low voltage code and an open or high resistance a high voltage code. take a coolant temp sensor for example; if the 5 volt reference and the return are shorted together, I would think that was a high voltage code because you have...

THATS AN EASY FIX. THANK YOU. I FIGURED IT HAD TO BE SOME KIND OF SETTING. I HAVE A BAD HABIT OF USING FILTERS TO OFTEN TO GET RID OF NOISE.

NEVERMIND, I FIGURED IT OUT. IT HAPPENS BECAUSE THE FILTER WAS ACTIVATED. IF I DEACTIVATE IT, THEN IT
LOOKS NORMAL.

CURRENT RAMP QUESTION

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY MY CURRENT WAVEFORM LOOKS LIKE THIS SOMETIMES? USUALLY ON FUEL INJECTOR CURRENT. IF I SCOPE IGNITION CURRENT, IT LOOKS NORMAL. I CHECKED SEVERAL INJECTORS SO THERE ISNT A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPONENT.
